Boliver Insulation Fire

Sunday morning at approximately 5:28 AM, Southern Stone County Fire Department was called to 434 State Hwy OO, in regards to a fire at Bolivar Insulation. When fire units arrived, they found a working fire. Preliminary estimate of loss was over one million dollars.

Since Sunday, information was received of a possible suspect by a member of C.O.M.E.T. This information was followed up on and Wednesday, December 15th, C.O.M.E.T. members, along with deputies from the Stone County Sheriff's Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol executed a Search Warrant at 51 Sparrow Lane, Galena, MO.

During the course of the Search Warrant, a Richard S. Bumbery was arrested. Bumbery is a white, male, age 45, and was an employee of Bolivar Insulation. Bumbery was transported to the Stone County Jail where he has been charged with a Class B Felony of Arson. Bond is set at $200,000 cash only.
