Stone County Deputies Arrest Individual on Enticement

On July 20th, 2009, a Stone County Deputy was in an internet chat room acting as a 14 year old female when she got a message from a male out of Springfield. The male asked her if she wanted to meet him and have sexual relations. A predetermined location was agreed upon and the male left to meet her.

Once he arrived at the location, Deputies, along with Crane Police Department, made a traffic stop on the vehicle and arrested Jeffrey Dale Wommack, a 26 yr old male from Springfield. Jeffrey was taken into custody for Enticement of a Minor and taken to Stone County Jail.

On Tuesday, July 21st, 2009, Stone County Prosecutor Matt Selby filed formal charges on Mr. Wommack and his bond was set at $25,000.00 cash or surety.

Enticement of a Child carries a minimum sentence of 5 yrs in the Department of Corrections. Mr. Wommack is currently still incarcerated at the Stone County Jail.
