PRESS RELEASE

 

 

 

                On 09-29-13, at approximately 10:46 a.m., Stone County Deputies were dispatched to the end of Jones Trading Post Road for a report of a body floating in the water.   Deputies arrived on scene and secured the scene.   A joint homicide investigation with the Stone County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri Highway Patrol was started.  

                The victim was identified as Daniel J. Martin Jr. 28 years old of Lampe, Mo.  The investigation is still continuing and two people of interest have been picked up for questioning at this time.
