Press Release

On July 11th, 2012, Stone County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a cell phone that had been recovered on Compton Ridge Road. The individual who recovered it turned it on to try and identify an owner and saw what he believed to be photographs of Marijuana plants on the phone. He then contacted the Stone County Sheriff’s Office and met with Detectives who were given the phone.

Detectives applied for and obtained a search warrant to view the contents of the phone. They identified the subject and observed him in a small room with Marijuana Plants. After checking other photographs and the address of the owner, they determined the pictures of the marijuana coincided with the residence he lived in. They checked the phones internal time stamps and identified the photographs to be less than two weeks old. The Detectives then applied for and obtained a search warrant for the residence of the owner of the phone.

Detectives, along with the patrol deputies, then served the search warrant at the residence on Compton Ridge Road, off State Highway 265 in Stone County. During the execution of the warrant, they recovered the marijuana that was depicted in the photographs on the phone.

Arrested from the warrant was: Bryan William Achor, a 29 year old white male from Branson.

On Thursday, July 12th, Bryan Achor was charged with Production of a Controlled Substance, RSMO 195.211, a Class B Felony, and his bond set at $25,000.00 Cash/Surety. Bryan Achor is currently incarcerated at the Stone County Jail in Galena.
